CHILDREN CHECKING OUT SOME OF THEIR NEW CLASSROOM ITEMS

THE CHILDREN ALSO LOVED THE FISHER PRICE TOYS

Looking around the classroom, I noticed there weren't any interactive, battery-operated toys.  So, the Fisher Price Toys will be an awesome addition to the classrooms!

THE CHILDREN LOVED THE NEW BOOKS

The Disney Cars books were a big hit with the boys in the kindergarten class.

DELIVERING SCHOOL SUPPLIES

I delivered the Fisher Price toys, batteries, games, books and puzzles to Barro de Tortuguero School today.  The final weight on this suitcase of supplies was 46 pounds!  Melissa, the school secretary is in the photo with me.  The school was very grateful for the many items they received.

SOME OF THE BUILDINGS, WHICH HOUSE THE CLASSROOMS

Barro de Tortuguero School has kindergarten through 6th grade classrooms.  There are about 240 students and 9 teachers.  Since there are only 8 classrooms, the younger children attend school in the morning and the older children in the afternoon.

BARRO DE TORTUGUERO SCHOOL

Paying it forward, I decided my next stop would be to a small school in Costa Rica.                 Barro de Tortuguero School is located in Tortuguero, Costa Rica.  To get to the school, I had to fly into San Jose.  Then, I had to take a bus and a boat to get to the village, which took about 3 hours.
